Taiwan Diary - Day 23

Day 23

I started watching the second Naruto Movie first but found out that like after 10 minutes of watching it froze. So I watched number one. It was O...K but a bit morally. We went to swap our Naruto Movie 2 with a new one. I got back and watched number 2. It was more "actiony" but it was a bit "mythy." Overall, it was the best "series movies" I've ever seen. (Movies based on a series, normally they suck.) We went to our rich cousins house for dinner. I had a hot dog and went up to play pool. We later played Kareoke (?) and I sang - Raindrops keep fallin' on my head, Do Re Mi, Jingle Bells, and 5 Hundred Miles. They didn't have any good songs. Just old songs. And no 80's songs as well!

Me and dad tried to fix the DVD player by swiching the top one with the bottem one. But it still had the echo. For dinner we went to my Uncles house and had KFC and stuff. Their dog "Gold" (Or literily, Little Yellow.) was so cute! I also bought my naruto movies over to test and on their DVD player it worked... no funny stuff.

Taiwan Diary - Day 20

Day 20

We went to this strawberry place today. There were lots of flies. There was this kid this cardboard thing with invisible glue on it. And when the flies landed on it...... STUCK! Lol! Every second, more landed. I didn't go pick the strawberries cause it was all muddy. (It rained a few days ago.) I didn't really like the strawberries taste as well. NZ ones are way better! After picking we went to this resturaunt. Me, Ian and Elim had donuts and stuff. After eating we went to this school and used its court to play Basketball, Batmintin (?) and flying kites. (It went high as!) We later went to Ian's house and got on his computer. It was boring, only he was playing, occasionaly letting me and Shaun play. Still..... it was boring. I ate lot's of sour berries though! We got back home and had dinner, then after we went to get the Naruto DVD. (It's second had but it's in good condition!)

Taiwan Diary - Day 19

Day 19

In the morning I tested the Naruto Movie out, I tried out the 1st floor DVD player first... but found out it was broken and needed repairing. ( The screen flashes.) The 2nd floor DVD player was also broken... it gave echos and stuff. Later that morning me and dad went to my rich cousins house. I played some pool and then got down to watch my teenage cousins playing "Gears Of War". We went to the market later in the afternoon and I bought the last two naruto figures for my collection. My mum bought a few CD's. I played the Crane Game Thing and got two prizes! Woop Woop! But I wasted NT$150. 0_o? (I used $40 for the two prizes, then I wasted $110 on nothing.... wah.) Oh and the Naruto Movie 2 has arrived. We didn't go pick it up though, we decided we would tomorrow. I was suppose t go to bed but I stayed up and watched "Red Eye" and this excercise competition thing.

Japan Diary - Day 5

Day 5

My fever died down and went down for breakfist. Had the same type of breakfist - Wedges as usual. We had to be at the airport at about 4 oclock so for the morning instead of following the tour guide my dad took me and shaun on to the roller coaster. It is huge! It's way taller then the fear fall at "Rainbows end." And way faster! Going down the first drop took forever.... about 7secs. My dad didn't go on, but did go on with my sis onto the ferris wheel. We had Mcdonald for lunch and after shopping at this anime shop (This guy was playing on a Gachapon and he didn't like the one he got so he gave it to Shaun. The anime shop soled all these naruto stuff. Headgear, ninja star and all.) we went to the airport and I saw a whole set of Doraemon comics! English translated! There were 10, my grandpa first bought 1. Then I bought 4 more with my Allowence money. Then my sis bought 3. Then I made my parents, grandpa and some reletives fork out some more money so I later bought the whole set. All together $8190 Yen. (About $102.40 NZ) I watched "Accepted" on the plane. It was so funny! 4.5/5! It had a "Unsuitible for children mark" though..... oh well. I read 2 out of the 10 doraemon books as well. We got of the plane and got to Taichung at about midnight.

PS: I later found out that the only place in NZ that had the Doraemon English Set was in the National Libray of NZ.

I woke up and had LOTS of wedges and bacon for breakfist. We packed up and put our luggage into the bus (1st class as well!), I sat with my cousin Shaun and we went to this man made snow park thing. We didn't ski cause we didn't have time so we used sleighs. After "sleighing" I bought a can of Lemon Soda and hoped onto the bus and went to this "pirate ship", and rode to this port, where we took the bus and drove to this resturaunt (Yes yes Japanese again ...... as usual). After having some rice we went to this famous Temple. It was very religious. This volcano was the next stop - where we took a chair lift up to the volcano and we took a walk around the edge of the opening. They said that it took about 20min to finish. I finished it in about 8min and since my family was still WAY behind I catched up and took another walk. We got to the hotel and went to the hot spring -Japanese style! You have to strip down till your naked and stroll in. (Don't worry, girl and boy rooms are seperated.) We had a Japanese styled dinner and had a show on while eating. it was this singer singing (Duh). It was boring, the only good bit was propaly the drumming part. I reakon the singers a trans..... LOL. He shook my hands..... freaky.

I read the whole 245 comic strips in like 5 hours........ hehehe. Took me a long time huh? I might start doing my own comics now..... just an idea..... right now I'm gonna start looking for a tutorial teaching me how to draw chibi characters. I had a argument with my sister and won! Hahahaha!

I later had a Mango Pudding, Peach Juice (I had to share it with my sister), Chips, Chicken Nuggets, Wedges, and some popcorn (Don't worry I shared them, I didn't eat all that.). Me and Ian also built this tower. After we paid the bill we went outside and Auntie 1 bought Ian, Elim, Xiang-Xiang (He's another cousin, about 2 years old) this dragonfly thing. You pull a string and the "Dragonfly" flies up! After playing for like 30min we went to another cousins house. (My mum said that she hasn't met him for 23 years)

Taiwan Diary - Day 11

Day 11

Today in the morning me, sis, mum and dad went to our cousins house. (Wei-Fung and Ian's Family) First Ian and I got on to my mum's sisters car with my mum and she drove us to this biking track thing, while Elim, Wei-fung and her mum and dad got onto the other car and drove to the same destination. We first had to rent a bike so after a while we got that sorted. We all got 1 seated ones except for my sister and dad, my dad got her this 2 seated one, just incase if my sister gets tired. Me and Ian were the first ahead! After a while I started shouting (In chinese of course) "What would you like to order sir," "Would you like to buy some soap?" "Would you like to buy a hot dog? Buy 2 and we'll make it 3!" It was so funny! Most of the people just laughed but some of them were like: "I'll order a Cheeseburger," "How much is a steak and cheese pie?" And some people just stared at us like we were maniacs. Ian started shouting the stuff after a while. We did that to every person, so I betya that lots of them would recognise us by now! (There was one women who said "Hey orderman! How do you bike so fast! (We met her like 4 times because the others (The family) were to slow so we went back and caught up with the women ect. etc.)) We later finished the track and I bought some popcorn and ate with Ian while waiting for the rest of the family. Then when they came back my mum's big sister bought some fried octopus thing. I ate a little but found it very hot and spice. So my mum's big sister bought me a hot dog (Yes with bread around it, I'm addicted to those things!) and later bought 3 more for Elim, Wei-Fung and Ian. I forgot who paid for the D.I.Y Candy floss but anyway there is this machine and you have to put this flavoured powder (You can choose from Strawberry, Passionfruit, Original and Green Apple. Wei-Fung chose Passionfruit, my sister strawberry and me and Ian Green Apple)in and put NT$30 in, and it starts! You grab a stick and twirl it around the candy floss machine.... Wei -Fungs one was a fail - but it was her first I guess. Ians one was the best - probaly because he saw how to do it. And mine was a fail too, but a little better then Wei-Fung's. We went back to my mum's sisters house and watched Tom and Jerry while my mum had here hair died by here sister. (I'll call the biggest sister Sister 1 and the smaller but still bigger then my mum sister Sister 2, in this case it's Sister 2) and after watching 7 episodes I told Ian and Wei - Fung about Doll Wizard. I guess they liked them. Wei-Fung made this Emo Person while Ian made a monster. We later went to the market and Ian took me and mum to this Gachapon Isle. You had to buy them in sets though. I found lots of Naruto sets and beged them if I could buy them one by one, they declined. (I only collect 1 of each character) So I later just went to the Gachapon and got a Hinata, Neji and Itachi, I later changed him to Kisame Hoshigaki. We then went into this photo machine and took photos. The machine can add like borders and backgrounds ect. ect. After we went for dinner, me and my sis had cake while the others had noodle. Then me, Elim and Wei-Fung had the milk thing but made into a slushy while Ian bought this tree drink thing. after we bought some bread and Elim, dad and I went home whikle my mum, sister 1 and 2 went to sister 2's house. (Wei-Fung and Ian had Sister 1's dad over, his dad couldn't hang with us cause he had to work overtime.)

My sis chose a tamogotchi - Can you believe it? Version 6 and it's only NT$45!!!! Like $2 dollars New Zealand.

After finishing part A (Theres 4 Parts) we went to the same place as yesturday. (The market) We bought frames for me and my sis's glasses. The shop had funny door, you had to put your hand on this rectangle thing to make it open. In the market there were lots of food stands, I bought 2 hot dogs wrapped in bread, (The same as yesturdays, but way yummier(There was another stand selling hot dogs)) 2 crosaunts, (Is that how you spell it?) 1 chocolate milk (Very sweet) and 1 soft serve. Since I had like NT$6000 I decided to only use $2000 and save the rest.... changing it to $114 in New Zealand!!!! Hurray! We didn't do much in the morning but after lunch we went to "De-an" (A department store), I tried to find "Click" at the DVD store but couldn't find it. So we went to the movie thertre to find out what movies were on. We decided that we might go watch "The Night at the Museum" if we don't have anything else on. On the same level we found these Crane Game things, I wasted like NT$70 on it... wah! I also bought a soft serve cone. My dad bought me a McChicken. We came home and found out my grandma was going to cook eels for dinner... she bought live ones! I touched one. She planned to kill them by putting them in the freezer (The very cold part) until they died. But by dinner time (One hour) they were still moving, so she had to cook them alive.... pour thing. She should have put them in wine so they would be drunk! Lolz! My grandma also bought Brian's favourite fruit... "Blah!" (Seriously! I'm not joking! There is such a fruit! It's green)

I got another Red Envolope! Hurray! NT $1200 from my cousins granny! After breakfist we had to play a song.... I sucked.... but I guess it was because I haven't played for like 1 month. My sister was to shy to play. After all the photos and "Bye byes" we went on another bus to the Kun-Yung station to see the 101.... again. It was huge! And it had the worlds fastest elevator! Going to the 87th floor in 37 seconds! It was like going up in a plane, your ear pops! Up there it was freaky, I felt I was on the top of the world! We stayed there gazing at the sight of Taipei for like 1 hour? We got down and had KFC for lunch... yum yum! After the book store where I bought presents for: Lachlan, Justin, Daniel, Tyler, Paul, Benjamin, Jean and Holly. Then Taichung! But you had to wait for like 90min in a long as que! Booorrriiinnngggg......... after the waiting we got on the bus at 6 oclock. There were mini TV's! But there was boring stuff on it, with only 7 channels... yawn. After an hour of game playing with my sister (We woke some people up so we pretended to sleep like cats!) After we went to sleep. Taiwan Dairy - Day 5

Day 5

Got on train at 9.30 and took a 2 hour ride to Taipei. It was fun! The views were amazing and I ate lots of junk food... hehe! When we got to the Taipei Main Station we bought these One Way Travel Cards. If you want to travel on the underground train you can by a One Way Travel Card or a Easycard which you can use heaps of times. We bought the One Way Travel Cards (OWTC) and took a ride to this department store, out of the 12 levels 7 were selling clothes..... yawn. We saw these people selling these stickers with your name printed on them. It was NT$100 (New Taiwan Money) for 300 stickers. There was millions of designes, like Doramon, Disney etc. etc... I picked Naruto, my mum these cute disney characters and my sis Hello Kitty! I've also bought Brians present. The bad news was that we had to wait 30 min, then 1 hour, the 2..... later we found out that they were unexperienced and the perfessional was in a traffic jam. So after like 2 hours of browsing we gave up the waiting and told them to mail the stickers. We bought more OWTC and took another train to Kun-Yung(There's like lots of little citys in Taipei, kinda like Manukau in Auckland but there's like 50 little citys!) where my cousins live. They live in this apartment obviously but my sis thought they lived in a castle... LOL! We got in and said hi and had somethings to eat. After we watched "Click." I cried. It was very sad, I'll give it 5/5. It's a cool movie but it's random that all the dogs like humping that duck...... random! After watching me, mum, dad and my sis went to the Trainstation and took another ride to watch the countdown and fireworks at 101. When we got to the other station it was swarming with people! (We later found out there was 500,000 people at 101!) We soon got bored because we had to sit on the dirty street for 2 more hours. So we came back and watched "Drumline," it was pretty good, I'd give it 3.5/5.
