Taiwan Diary - Day 4

Day 4

In the morning me, dad and my sis went to the hospital to get my birth certificate. They also talked about giving me a injection. My mum was at the book store. For lunch we tried to find the spring onion thing, so we went to this resturaunt. Me and my sis ordered the onion thing. It wasn't as good, kinda like the ones my mum makes. After we went to my mum's mum's house, my mum's sister's 2 kids came as well (They still had another girl, she's older). Wei Fung's a 13 year old girl, she likes being clean (No offence). And I forgot the other persons name. He's a boy and 10 years old, he likes barking like a dog and ruining photos. My dad took me, Wei and the boy to find the onion thing, and we found it! Hurray! It was the same as yesturday. We weren't aloud to eat it inside, cause my mum's mum's (I'll call here grandma 2) a vegetarian, and in Taiwan vegeterians don't eat onion. So we ate outside. We got back and had rice for dinner. After my mum and dad went to this concert while we watched "Shoalin Soccer". (Well I don't think we should count the grands cause they kinda fell asleep.

Taiwan Diary - Day 3

Day 3

Woke up, breakfist, got changed blah blah blah... After all that stuff me, my dad, my grandpa and grandma went to the train station to buy tickets for sundays trip to Taipei 101! (The tallest building in the world! p(^o^)q Woop Woop go Taiwan!) I saw more monks. When we got back from the train station my dad took me on his motorbike to by his underwear (He didn't want me to post this info... hehehehe) and after Mcdonalds! Yeah! I bought a McChicken - It was $35 yen ($1.5 New Zealand). Talk about cheap! Compared to New Zealands $4 burger this is nothing! After that my dad took me to "Nova", this electronic department store. I went to the free internet and used it for like 20 min, I tried to watch Naruto but there was no sound, so I went to droidz, darkdemon, and all that stuff I usually go to. My dad found me and said that I could only use it for like 10 min... woooops!!!! The message was right there in front of me on a peice of paper..... but I couldn't read the chinese!
When we finished shopping my dad took me for a little walk, and I say the best thing in the world...... I don't know how to say it in english but its like dough, fried with bits of spring onion in it, my mum made some at home but these are uncomparable! She like hardly fries them but these people fried them like chicken! It was $20 yen.
We got back and for dinner my cousins (The rich ones) took us to this famous Japanese Resturant - where the first course was wheat tea. Normally I wouldn't drink it but hey, I tried not to be picky tonight.... cause everyone would look at me curiously. I drank the whole thing down and the next thing that happened was that the waiters poured even more.....I drank the whole thing and they came again.... damn! Oh well it did taste a little better when you got used to it. The cousins dad poured wine and I drank a bit. The next course was sashimi - raw fish! I ate raw scallop, and a bit of raw shrimp. I also ate like 6 raw salmon eggs.... it was salty! After that came these sushi wrapped with tuna (It's not raw), I took a bite and didn't enjoy it, so I passed it to my mum. After the sushi came cooked scallop - It was pretty good... I ate 2. You had to cook it yourself.... fun! Then was the beef wrapped over sparragus (Is that how you spell it?), my mum ordered BBQ chicken for me.... I guess sheknew I wouldn't like it..... after finishing the chicken my mum let me try the beef on the sparragus..... it tasted like bacon! Yum! She was gonna eat the sparragus when I came down with my chop sticks and attacked with my mouth... lolz! Steamed bowl came next (Its like soup with noodles, fish and veges throwed in.), I passed... same as my sister and two of my cousins. My mum bought us some cakes from this shop called 85C (Degrees)... my sis thought it was 85 cents! Random! I bought chocolate, she bought fudge, one of my cousins bought strawberry and the other this icecream thingy. It was heaven! When we got back the rest of the people have already finished the steamed bowl, and the waiters left us to chat. After chatting it was the desert - you could choose from coffee - hot or cold, tea and orange juice. I picked juice. Then came red bean soup. I drank one spoonfull and gave it to my mum. To end the night my cousins dad gave me and my sis some money - $1200 Yen ($55 New Zealand?) for chinese new year cause we wouldn't be here. My cousins drove me home and when we got to my house it seems that my mum and co. haven't arrived yet. So they drove me to there place (It's in the same block.) I played pool and watched them play "Gears of War"on there Xbox 360 (They also have a PS2.) My dad and came and said goodnight to the people and we went home.

PS: My foot hurts so much! I can't walk propably!
PSS: Might not write tomorrow, I'm going to 101! Hurray!!!!!

Taiwan Diary - Day 2

Day 2

I woke up , got out of bed, and had butter on toast for breakfist. My mum and dad had to go to the bank for some random reason so I stayed home. First I tried watching Naurto Episode 40 but then I found out that the computer doesn't have sound... sniff sniff... and the internets very slow... and it doesn't have flash... java... and so on so on... so I downloaded Easytoon and Pivot and played with it... when I got bored I downloaded N and played. My grandpa and my sister watched "Little Women" while I continued to play (Yawn). For lunch me and my sis had some fruit (Kiwifruit, Oranges and apples), they didn't taste as good as the ones in New Zealand. (Duh) My dad, mum and co. had this soup thing. After lunch we went to the supermarket. You had to put a 10 yen coin into this thing to get a trolly. When you finished shopping you attach this thing to the trolly and the 10 yen coin pops out! I guess it stops people leaving the trollies randomly. (If you want to know - $1 New Zealand - $22 Taiwan) We bought lots of stuff and junk food.... yummy! I also saw monks shopping! We got back and me and my sis watched cartoon network... it was boring but there was nothing else to do. We watched stuff like Hamtaro, Doramon and something about Killer Michael Jacksons zapping people. (LOL) Me and my sis had KFC, while my dad, mum and co. had this fish thing. My dad accidently bought spicy chicken burgers. But who cares, its still yum! Oh yea, you might not know, but I'll tell you anyway. The terrible truth is that, I have 8 warts on the left side of my body (My left side.) 1 on my elbow, 6 on my left knee and 1 huge one on my foot. The one on my foot hurt like hell! So I told my Grandma and she said she's gonna take me to the docter after I visit my cousins. They are verry rich, with a 3 story house and all these other expensive crap! They talked in Taiwanese which I tried to understand, but could only pick out some words. We drank green tea (Which I hate, I'm a picky eater =P) and they said that we would leave when I finished the green tea. Using all my efforts I drank the whole thing in 1 gulp. Blecgh! We went to the skin specialist after that. He said that yes they were warts and that he will freeze (Or burn?) the warts until they drop of with this -198C thing. It hurt like hell, imagine someone shoving a -198 stick onto your skin for like 10 seconds, and I had to have them there 8 times! 80 SECONDS! I tried not to scream by saying random stuff like "lalalalala", "Miao miao miao miao." (LOL) Finally it was done but bad news... he said I had to come back every Thursday for the time I'm here. (NOO!!!!! =O) He gave me this ointment thing and asked from my dad 600 bucks. (About $30 New Zealand money). It hurt walking... hope that doesn't interfare with the Disneyland trip! ;(

PS: In Tainan (The south part of Taiwan, the top's Taipei and the middles Taichung) a few days ago there was an earthquake. (If you want to know Taiwans on the middle of two plates) It's freaky cause the grounds always like moving a little bit! It's moving right now whle I'm typing this!

Taiwan Diary - Day 1

Hi peoples! I'm in Taiwan! Woohoo! I'll write something everyday (Except for the 5 days I'm in Japan!). Well, here goes the first entry:

Day 1

We got on the Shuttle bus at 11am… boring……. And it was sick time! I wanted to throw up all the time. Finally after like a million years we got to the airport! Hurray! After going through all the passport stuff we got on the plane. We flew on Eva Air, it had those mini TVs…. Yea! The bad news is that the ride was bumpy… the whole time. I watched Superman Return (Yawn) and Monster house because there wasn't any other good movies. The rest of the time I was trying to battle the sickness nightmare. After what seemed like ages it was landing time! Yahoo! But it took 30 min… damn! During the landing part this women vomited…. And it sprayed everywhere, my mum got soaked… lol! When we got of the plane we got on a bus going to Taichung, it was 2 hours. I wanted to go to a piss real bad! Luckily when I was gonna piss into a drink bottle the driver let me down to the toilet… phew! We then got on a taxi and I found out that in Taiwan there was no seatbelts in the back seats! Exciting! The driver was speeding and driving with one hand, going through red lights! He was about like... 80 Kmph? We finally got to my grandparents home and I went to sleep.

The Talented Mr Ripley!

This is one of the best thrillers I have ever watched! This five academy award winning movie kept me on my toes throught the movie.

It's about a young man from a poor family named Tom Ripley, who is a "nobody". One day he borrows a Jacket and is mistaken by the father of Dickie Greenleaf, and thinks that Tom was a classmate of Dickie. Tom allows Dickie's father to believe it and pretends that he knows Dickie like the back of his hand. Then Dickie's father offers Tom $1000 if he could go to Italy to pursuade Dickie to come back. And away is Tom! In Italy he meets Tom, a rich and fun loving person. Tom stays with him, and starts showing envy and attraction to Dickie... and ends with terrible actions...

I don't need to say much, all I can say is well, it's great!
